During
one of my travels, I used a particular phrase in one of my sermons and it so resonated with a lady in the audience that she
asked permission to start a group and use said phrase as the name of the group.
When I returned home, this lady communicated
with me that she had organized an ‘accountability’ group where she and her sisters in the Lord would become encouragers
to boost each other through the bad times and rejoice with each other over the good times.
As
I began to meditate on this phrase, I believe I heard from the Lord that this is something from which all of us can benefit.
The phrase, you ask?????
SNAP OUT OF
IT, SISTER!
Now,
I am under no misapprehension that I am considered to be extremely hardcore, but you need to know why I am … how I
started out … why I became this way … how I became this way … why I remain this way … why it is
so important for me to teach you how to become hardcore about the things of God.
Recently,
I have been hit very hard with the realization that no matter how vigorously I pour into the lives of people,
many times I still have to stand by and watch them continue to make potentially destructive decisions with
little or no thought as to the will of God for their lives. When you talk to them, it quickly becomes obvious
how diabolical the spirit of deception really is.
Much
of the time they are adamantly insistent that they have heard from God and know what they are doing to be His perfect will
for their lives, even when it is diametrically opposed to the Word of God.
Thankfully,
when I have done all that I can do … or rather all God instructs me to do … then God does lift the burden of
responsibility from my shoulders and I am able to continue in trying to help others. That is the sole purpose
of this book.
